About Fraserburgh Golf Club
Fraserburgh Golf Club in Aberdeenshire was founded on 14 April 1777, and records at the British Golf Museum list it as the fifth oldest club in Scotland and the seventh oldest in the world. Its Philorth course opened in 1891 and was redesigned in 1922 by five-time Open champion James Braid. Further changes in 1976, with comment from Sir Henry Cotton, also created a short four-hole layout. Fraserburgh Golf Club features in The Golf Growth Group's golf club directory.
